Ausbildung in Germany
Learn, Work & Earn Your Way to a European Career
Dual Vocational Training Program in Germany also known as ‘Ausbildung’ is one of the recognized vocational training programs and an opportunity of a lifetime for international students to enhance their career prospects by gaining practical working experience and getting paid a monthly allowance. The program will assist students in building their careers in one of the most developed European economies.
What is Ausbildung?
Unlike a conventional university degree, Ausbildung is Germany’s dual vocational training model which means your education is split between real company work and school-based theory. You will spend 3 to 4 days per week working as a paid trainee in a German company, and the remaining 1 to 2 days in a vocational school (Berufsschule) learning the academic side of your trade. This dual structure is what makes Ausbildung stand out from every other study abroad route. You’re not just studying nursing, hotel management, or mechatronics, you’re actually doing it, getting paid for it, and earning a nationally recognized qualification at the same time.
Why Germany needs international students
Germany is experiencing a major shortage of skilled workers due to its aging population and a decreasing number of young people in the country. This is no small problem. German businesses are addressing it by recruitment of international trainees. For International Students seeking to study and work abroad, this presents a fantastic chance. German enterprises in sectors such as nursing, tourism, engineering, Information Technology, and logistics are keen on employing internationally trained students who are proficient in the language and passionate about their profession.
